The program then moved to a more sobering topic and the real reason this community came together. After a touching video sharing the story of one of MDFF's most recent Van Giveaway winners, the Winston Family, several attendees generously donated to our fundraiser. While we fell short of our goal this year, the funds we raised will help us meet the needs of families impacted by neuromuscular diseases such as muscular dystrophy. If you attended and did not get a chance to donate (or did not attend and would still like to make a donation to help us reach our goal), please click this link.
We ended the evening with our first ever Live Auction, with some spirited bidding wars and great prizes, largely supporting local small businesses. And for our finale, the competition was on between Bishop Chatard and Cathedral in a Family Feud style game.
MDFF hopes that attendees had a memorable evening, enjoying their time with friends, silent auction winnings, specially engraved wine glasses (for the VIP tables), and wine from the wine pull, while still supporting the greater purpose of the event, which is to bring awareness and funds to MDFF's mission.
