More About Niki
As a pediatric physical therapist, Niki first became involved with the organization after presenting at the MDFF Expo on ways physical therapy can assist patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Niki also has a CureDuchenne Cares Certification.
She has a passion for bringing joy to folks with muscular dystrophy by improving their quality of life and the lives of their families. She strives to find solutions to make life easier for families to care for each other.
Niki grew up in south-central Illinois in a small rural town. She has a young daughter whom she describes as her world. Family is extremely important to her and she feels fortunate to have them close enough for frequent visits. They can often be found cooking out and enjoying an evening of games and movies together.
Niki stays active by running and spending time outdoors, even in the snow. She also enjoys crafting, arranging flowers, and cooking with her daughter.
"I love being a part of the MDFF because it brings so much joy by improving the quality of life for patients with MD and their families."
